1.The hired workers complained that the landlord was being unfair, because they had worked a whole day but received the same pay as those who had only worked an hour. The landlord replied, "Can't I use my things as I please?" (Matthew 20:15). By worldly standards (pay according to work), was the landlord's practice fair?
2.Jesus said, “So the last will be first, and the first last” (Matthew 20:16). He then added a frequently overlooked verse: “Many are called, but few are chosen.” Why did Jesus add this after telling the parable? How is it related to the core message of the parable?
